A Remarkable Recovery: Amy's Journey from Injury to Soundness

In October 2023, Amy suffered a serious hind-end suspensory injury. The ligament was damaged in two separate places—an injury that can be particularly challenging to heal and often requires patience, persistence, and the right combination of treatments.
We began the rehabilitation process using several well-known therapies. She received shockwave treatment, Anicell, and even Pro-Stride injections. While these therapies did begin to support healing, the progress was extremely slow.
By February 2024, months after the initial injury, Amy was still presenting with a Grade 2 lameness. The ligament showed some improvement, but the recovery was far from where we hoped it would be.
At that point, we decided to try something different: microcurrent therapy. In February 2024, Amy underwent a series of 10 microcurrent treatments over a 14-day period. The goal was to stimulate healing at the cellular level and encourage the damaged tissue to repair more effectively.
The results were nothing short of incredible.
At Amy's next veterinary recheck, the lesions in the suspensory ligament had fully healed. Even more importantly, Amy was declared sound and cleared to begin the next stage of her rehabilitation and gradual return to work.
The turnaround was so significant that even the veterinarians were surprised by how quickly Amy's condition had improved.
After months of uncertainty and slow progress, seeing her finally healthy and ready to move forward again was an amazing moment. Amy's journey is a reminder that sometimes a new approach can make all the difference in the healing process.
